En un estudio llevado a cabo con 838 pacientes con VIH y hepatitis C, el consumo diario de cannabis se asoci\u00f3 con una reducci\u00f3n significativa del riesgo de h\u00edgado graso, seg\u00fan informan investigadores del INSERM en Marsella, Francia. El h\u00edgado graso es com\u00fan en enfermos coinfectados con el virus de inmunodeficiencia humana (VIH) y el de la hepatitis C (VHC).<\/p>\n

El 14% dijo consumir cannabis a diario, el 11’7% hacerlo regularmente y el 74’7% no consum\u00edan o lo hac\u00edan ocasionalmente. El consumo diario de cannabis se asoci\u00f3 con una menor prevalencia de esteatosis. Los autores concluyen diciendo que \u00abel consumo diario de cannabis puede ser un factor protector contra la esteatosis en pacientes coinfectados por el VIH y el VHC\u00bb.<\/p>\n
