Este es el resultado de una investigaci\u00f3n realizada en la Universidad de Nuevo M\u00e9xico (EE. UU.). Durante un per\u00edodo de 21 meses los autores del estudio compararon la evoluci\u00f3n de las prescripciones de opioides.<\/p>\n<p>Los que consumieron cannabis interrumpieron la toma de opioides con m\u00e1s frecuencia y tomaban menos opioides un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s de la inclusi\u00f3n en el Programa M\u00e9dico Cannabis (MCP). Las respuestas de la encuesta tambi\u00e9n muestran mejoras en la reducci\u00f3n del dolor, la calidad de vida, la sociabilidad, los niveles de actividad y la concentraci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como efectos secundarios menores por el consumo de cannabis. Los autores concluyen: \u00abLa evidencia cl\u00ednica y estad\u00edsticamente significativa de una relaci\u00f3n entre la inclusi\u00f3n en el MCP y el cese de la prescripci\u00f3n de opioides y las reducciones de dosis, as\u00ed como la mejora de la calidad de vida, requieren estudios adicionales sobre el cannabis como una posible alternativa a los opioides prescritos para el tratamiento del dolor cr\u00f3nico.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/29145417\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Vigil JM, Stith SS, Adams IM, Reeve AP.
